Here's The First Android Tablet That Matters: Motorola Xoom Running Android 3.0


Motorola Xoom is an Anroid-based tablet computer running Android 3.0 (also known as Honeycomb.) The Xoom seems to be the flagship tablet that's taking on the iPad.
 
LAS VEGAS — Motorola and Verizon on Wednesday announced the Motorola Xoom tablet, a 10.1-inch device with a dual-core processor and Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The tablet offers 1080p HD video support and is one of the splashier entrants in this year’s tablet race.

  • A dual-core 1GHz processor
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • 1280x800 display
  • HDMI output
  • 1080p HD video support
  • 720p video shooting
  • Gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer
Motorola’s Xoom will launch as a 3G/Wi-Fi-enabled device in Q1 2011 with an upgrade to 4G LTE in Q2. The cost of Motorola Xoom in India is around Rs: 35,000.
